Day 1 Trip to Branson

Well we left about 7:30 this morning. McDonald's for survival food for our start, refilled up with gas at OnCue then to Wally World to buy sandwich stuff and snacks to cut out some costs. Then we started to get on the road. First cache we found after on the turnpike for about 40 minutes, we found tiny, tiny, tiny ticks. We keep caching our way to Branson, or so the plan is too. We find some caches and some are misleading. It is hard to cache near I-44 when its a turnpike. We ate lunch at a Oklahoma Visitors center, sandwiches that is, got to see our first Hybrid Cache. Wesley didn't eat but I made him a sandwich for later. He later decides he wants a Reece's and we tell him he needs to eat some of the sandwich first. Later he says he don't feel good and is restless. He sleeps and wakes himself up throwing up in the backseat. Thank God for leather! Thank goodness we were getting gas when this all went down. We were in Springfield, MO. Nick and I were starving and we ate Fazoli's for dinner. We get on the road again and we see hills up and down up and down and Nicks ears were popping. We several places along the way closer to Branson advertising Tourist Information, So it appeared the second we seen was still open and so we stopped. I went in and asked for discounts etc. I was told that there was a way to get a 2-day pass to Silver Dollar City for all three of us for $85! It would cost $150 for one day if we bought the tickets there! So we have a time share tour at 12 to get the tickets and then at 2:45 to get $50 in Bass Pro Gift Cards. So laundry in the morning so Wesley can have his blanket back and well we will have an extra set of clothes!

Interesting things we saw along the way and other dumb things:

1. We seen a Drug Warehouse. Hmm hey honey I am going to the warehouse need anything? lol
2. We seen a Hoe Supply Store. Hmmm
3. Falling Rock Sign, long before the rocks, Nick was so confused!
4. The roads in Missouri have mile markers every 2 tenths of a mile, did the state have extra money and wanted to waste it on 2 tenth mile markers?
5. Ok Missouri is the show-me state, but do their people have to show everyone else they cant drive!
6. Yield means just that! NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE! That means you yield to me, I am already do 70, and your not, so STOP!
7. The clerk at Fazoli's asks a lady who is wearing a shirt that that says something ropers with a lasso, and she goes out of her way to ask her what is a roper? hmmm HELLO HERES YOUR SIGN!
8. The nice man at Fazoli's tells us to come again soon, I stopped and said we couldn't as we weren't from here, the look on his face at first was rather shocking!
9. The Tri-State marker, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! OMG!
10. The ladies at the Welcome to Tulsa Geocache at the Oklahoma Visitor's center, we asked for the cache and they argued about where it was. Then one lady said its over there. I asked where, she stated I had to go find it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I asked where over there, she says in the bushes and acts like I am a moron. OMG!
11. The Welcome to Missouri Visitor's Center, super nice lady came over to us and put a packet together! Granted Wesley had a few brochures that I never got to see.
12. I got a great idea for a cache in Oklahoma somewhere!
13. So wished we could have cached more, but well, Nick got bored and Wes got sick, so we'll catch some before we leave Branson and to Arkansas on Tuesday and on the way back home on Wednesday.
14. I wish these pictures would upload much faster!
15. Hmm I really need to work on my homework.
16. Did you know that the ticks in the NE part of the state are tiny! Not in OKC there Ginormous!
17. OMG I spotted a Big Foot at the Tri-State marker! Freaked me out! I heard it moving in the trees right behnd us. Had to be from Kansas or Oklahoma and I couldnt tell! Then BUSTED! He wsant in the van like I thought, Nick Big Foot was throwing rocks and spooked the crap out of me! HA he got to got find the cache!
